1.First thing first, you need to get your phone rooted. Download Universal Androot: http://bit.ly/aa4jxJ

2. Setup your cell phone to permit Unknown Sources，and then install universal adroot to get root privilege.Open App Manager > Install > Settings> [tick] Unknown Sources > OKIf you don't know how to install apk file, please Google it.


In the app and choose the correct version from the drop down box:


* Superuser for Android 2.0~2.2 – if you have updated your phone recently

* Superuser for Android 1.5~1.6 – if you have refused updates recently or your country/provider hasn’t released one yet


Then choose: “Root ” Wait until it says “Woot ! Your device is rooted !” and exit the program.


3.Download Adroid sdk from Google http://developer.android.com/index.html，decompress the sdk\tools to c:\sdk\tools, we will only use adb.exe。


Install USB debugging driver from HTC website.Enable USB Debugging on your phone，Settings - Applications -Development - USB Debugging

4.Download recover image from this link:

install recovery image either from Terminal Emulator or adb.exe from computer.

5A.1)copy the image to the root directory of sdcard

2)Download and install Android Terminal Emulator from the Market

3)Run “Terminal Emulator” the program and type in the following:

su [enter]

flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.7.0.1-psfreedom-1.0-bdvd-peek-poke.img[enter]

reboot recovery [enter]

5B. 1)copy the image to the same directory with adb, say c:\sdk\toolsrun command in cmd prompt:

adb shell

su

flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.7.0.1-psfreedom-1.0-bdvd-peek-poke.img[enter]

reboot recovery [enter]

6. reboot the cell phone and enter recovery mode by push the HOME and Power button at the same time.Now your cell phone is ready.

7. Fully power off your ps3, for fat PS3, flip the power switch in the back to off. For slim version，unplug the power cable.

8. Disconnect all the USB device. Then power on, but don't push the power button yet.


9. Connect the ps3 with your cell phone.10.Now the most importance step. Push the power button, then after that, almost at the same time, push the eject button. you will hear 3 beep sounds when there is no disk in the PS3. if there is one disk inside, it does not matter.11.When you are successful, the PS3 will take a bit longer to start up.

When XMB loads, under the "Game" menu there will be two new options, ★ /app_home/PS3_GAME and ★ Install Package Files. Congratulations, you've cracked your PS3. You're ready to install homebrew applications.

10. Every time, after power off PS3, need to redo 6 and 7.
